Minutes from the previous meeting were read, amended and approved.
We signed a get well card for Jeff Nelson was in the hospital in Spokane.
Treasurer Report
There is a balance of $2843.70
Old Business
TV/VCR Combination
Bruce and Colleen purchased a new 13 inch TV/VCR combination from Sears for $95.
Decibel Meter
Wally Bigelow
was unable to check on prices, so Bruce and Colleen purchased one at Radio Shack. Don Hart has custody of the meter and will test it in various situations.Mall Show Planning
Bertle Spence
reported that the Palouse Mall agreed to supply 22 tables.It was moved and seconded to sell ten raffle tickets for $5. Members will get 12 tickets to sell or buy. Passed.
It was moved and seconded to have Wally Bigelow order the Park Zone Piper Cub (including radio) for $99. Passed.
We will also put together an assortment of tools specifically selected for building R/C model planes for the raffle.
Super Bowl Snow Fly?
No decision yet on the Super Bowl Snow Fly. According to Bertle, Jeff Nelson is home and is doing well. Jeff couldn’t make the meeting due to a cold.
Philips Farm Flying Site Update
Bruce and Colleen received an email from Dave Walker. Most of the message was a response to the neighbor who is concerned about model flying at the park. Dave says he is flying lots and enjoying the warmth of Arizona.
New Business
Club Dues
Thirteen members have paid dues for 2005.
There was discussion about how to handle dues for young students in Joe Bolden’s model building classes. They have been building models for several years, starting with simple planes and now starting R/C trainers. The topic was tabled for more discussion at the February meeting.
Business Cards and Posters
Byron Stevenson
brought new business cards, posters and club information packages for the mall show. Byron volunteered to do membership cards with current AMA numbers if needed. Posters will be placed in hobby shops and on various bulletin boards in the area. Mall show raffle posters will be put up in February.Movin’ On
This was last club meeting for Pat Gates. He’s moving to Missouri. We wish him good luck and hope he finds a good club at his new home.

Demonstration
Bruce Bumgarner
fired up the new TV/VCR to show "Spring Tuneup", a short glider video taken at a contest in Mission, B.C. Les Grammer and several Spokane glider flyers were prominent in the video. Good pictures of glider launching. The photographer also mounted a wireless video camera on a glide to get pictures of the flying field.We also watched part of the "NEAT Fair 2003" video of electric powered planes.
