Lewiston IMAC is scheduled for June 11-12

Orrin Crooks Memorial Glider Meet is scheuled for May 14-15 at the Lewiston field

Larry Bobisud is in the Good Samaritan nursing home in Moscow.

Flying/Building Reports

Bryce Winterbottom has been flying near the Palouse Arboretum, near the proposed site of a city play field.

Don Hart reported lots of flying at the Mann Lake field near Lewiston and indoor flying in Asotin on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm.

Sam Sorem is re-covering his YAK.

John Sawyer reported that the Sawyer RC Field needs to be mowed, but expects it to be ready soon.

Phil Tallman has been flying helis at a culdesac near Schweitzer Engineering in Pullman.

Old Business

Mall Show Report

Colleen Bumgarner reported that many models were on display.  The peoples choice vote winner was the kit-built Fokker D-VII by Gunnar Sorem, with Elmer Carlson's Lazy Ace biplane getting second most votes.  Every plane got at least one vote (including the motor displayed by Bertle Spence).  The mall management wants the club back in November for another display.

RC Class

Jerry Becker reported that there has been no word from Moscow Parks and Rec on the RC class for this year. A minimum of 4 need to sign up. The cost this year is $200, which includes the plane, radio equipment, etc. for each participant and the class for construction and flying.

New Business

Program

Bryce Winterbottom showed his Lazy Bee ARF electric powered plane. He is planning on installing a video camera.

Jerry Becker showed his newly covered Micro Telemaster, which was built from a kit by  Mike Marsh.

Randy Sexton showed his Air Tractor crop duster model "in the bones".  Randy bought the laser cut balsa kit 4 years ago.  It has flaps and ailerons and uses six servos. It weighs 10.1 ounces without radio gear.

Elmer Calrson showed the Tower Trainer he built from a donated kit.  Elmer says it was a very good kit. Power is a K&B 40.  This plane will see service as a club trainer.

Don Hart showed pictures of the Planes of Fame Museum in Valle Arizona (about 25 miles south of the Grand Canyon).  It is a small museum with an impressive  group of planes on display.
