Flying/Building Reports

Bill Ward reported that he had made a "mock solo" on the buddy box at Mann Lake.

Gunnar Sorem has a new foam "Zero". Retracts are installed. Needs servos.

Steve Overley is working on a 37 inch span "Mini Extra Sport" from Value Hobby, and has fixed up his Nitro Models C-47 (replaced prop and spinner nuts). Steve has been flying at Mann Lake field and indoors at Asotin.

Don Hart is making progress on the "Tanzer Speedwing" he's building from magazine plans. The wing is mostly built, the tail surfaces are built and the fuselage is about half done. Don has been flying at Mann Lake and indoors at Asotin.

Jerry Becker reported that he has done no model related stuff since November!

Bruce Bumgarner got a used "Topaz" thermal competition glider with a broken fuselage. Bruce found a new fuselage, but needs to replace the elevators.

Sam Sorem is continuing to make progress on the two "Hawker Hurricane" models he is building from plans. Landing gear and landing lights are installed in the one piece wings. Sam will be using A123 battery packs. One Hurricane will be ready for the mall show.

Parker Sorem is working on a foam "Hawker Hurricane". The retracts are working and he expects it to be ready in about a week.

Phil Tallman has been flying indoors at Asotin and a helicopter at the laundromat. Both "J-3 Cubs" he is building are still in progress. Phil will have several large models for sale at the Spokane swap meet (from a friend's estate).

Vance Penton has been busy with work.

Ben Bowen and his kids Thomas and Emily are building a "CAP 232" and a "Telemaster".

Mark Scarborough has been flying indoors at Asotin. Mark is getting ready for the Vintage Stunt Championships in Tucson Arizona, a control line meet. There will be 80-100 entries.
