Potlatch Field Update

Dave Walker reported that herbicide application on runway cracks must wait for the rains to stop for a few days. Tar application in cracks will be a week after herbicide is applied.

Potlatch Days Update

Dave Walker shared plans for the RC flight demo. Joe Bolden will be in charge of the Palouse Flyers parade float and static display. The RC airshow is scheduled for noon Saturday July 21. Randy Sexton is planning to tow an American flag and to drop his RC parachutist. Phil Tallman will MC for the flight demo.

Spring BBQ Report

There was a good turnout for the BBQ. We had balloon bust, paint ball and lucky hand poker and lots of flying. The weather was excellent.

Phil Tallman and Don Hart had a midair while attacking a balloon. Phil's very experienced foamy did not survive. The foamy's wing was cut into several 3-4 inch segments by the prop on Don's Saito 82 powered Edge 540 profile. The Edge suffered a small hole in the leading edge of one wing, which was repaired with clear packing tape.

Jerry Becker provided the paint ball gun and target plane. Many hits were scored. The target plane survived, but Jerry had a big cleanup job from LOTS of paint.

Jerry Becker had the best poker hand at the end of the event. He won an indoor electric Corsair.
