Announcements

Model kits and assorted RC stuff donated by Terry Koltes wil be auctioned at the Super Bowl Snow Fly.

Lewiston Aerotow is scheduled for June 2,3.

There wil be NO Lewiston IMAC this year.

Flying/Building Reports

Elmer Carlson passed around two issues of Model Airplane News from 1938-39. Work on the Crackjack he talked about at the last meeting is on hold.

The Sass boys are busy with school and other stuff - model building on hold.

Phil Tallman bought a micro Christen Eagle at B&B Hobbies. His Katana 140 is done (70 inch span). The two Cubs are on the back burner. Phil has been flying indoors at Asotin.

Sam Sorem has joined the wing sections on the two giant Hurricane models he's building from plans. Sam is also getting his giant Corsair ready to fly.

Gunnar Sorem is working on his Albatross fuselage. The basic framing is done. It will have 1/64 ply skin.

Randy Sexton needs 3 gram servos for his Air Tractor model.

Vance Penton built a 450 helicopter.

Bill Ward is getting his RC trainer ready. Bill needs to cycle his transmitter and receiver batteries. Sam Sorem offered his battery cycler.

Don Hart is making progress on the Tanzer Speedwing he is building from magazine plans. Don has been flying most Saturdays at Mann Lake (weather allowing) and indoors at Asotin.

Old Business

Mall Show

Dates suggested for the mall show by Colleen Bumgarner were discussed. The mall show was scheduled for March 29 through April 1.

Gunnar Sorem showed his 55 inch span Zero. This is a Nitro Planes foamy with servoless retracts and landing lights.

NitroPlanes Zero

Phil Tallman showed his multifunction watt meter. It balances up to 6s LiPo, 100A capacity, displays volts and amps, has a servo driver and can determine ESC pulse duration. Phil got it at B&B Hobby for $32.

Upcoming Events

March 10 - 8am-2pm. Spokane, WA. Inland Empire RC Swap Meet. Covenant United Methodist Church 15515 N Glenden Dr, Spokane WA. Doors open at 8am. Raffle drawing every hour from 10am to 1pm (must be present to win). All proceeds benefit the New Hope Resource Center. Admission donation: Adult: $3; Ages 13 to18: $1; Age 12 and under free; Family: $5
