Old Business

Nothing

New Business

Super Bowl Snow Fly

This will be a pot luck event (no BBQ), noon to 4pm on Saturday January 31 at Sawyer RC Field. The club will provide soft drinks and water. John says the runway has been "plowed" by earth worms, so it's a bit rough.

Program

John Sawyer showed the fuselage of his quarter scale Sig J-3 Cub. The fuselage and wings are built and ready for covering with Super Coverite fabric. The receiver and glow lighter battery packs will be installed in the rear of the fuselage to offset the weight of the fourcylinder OS 240 two stroke engine and McDaniel glow system. John moved the firewall back 3/4 inch to have the engine align with the cowling. The firewall is reinforced with fiber glass and epoxy. The struts on this 105 inch span J-3 Cub are functional. The functional scale landing gear was made by Bill Wallace, a modeler who lived in Lewiston, ID.
