John flew yesterday, the first time since the Super Bowl Snow Fly.

Elmer put in half a flight (the landing) at LeRoy's. The wing for the Crackerjack is ready for covering.

Dave and Polly flew at Wicks Field in Moscow.Polly flew a Slow Stick. Dave flew his Edge profile.

Sam recovered and converted his Golberg Skylark (low wing version of the Falcon) to electric power. The Hurricane is ready for its maiden flight. It now has servo wiring blocks to simplify assembly at the field.

Old Business

Nothing

New Business

The July club meeting will be at Sawyer RC Field, Saturday July 11.

Bill Gruber has agreed to take over from Colleen Bumgarner as Secretary/Treasurer. Thank you Colleen for many years of excellent service.

Program

Sam showed his Goldberg Skylark. He converted it to electric power and also to a tail dragger after the tricycle gear failed. The color scheme was changed from blue to orange for visibility. Power is an eFlight Power 46 on two 4s LiPo packs. It flies FAST!

Dave showed pictures and explained the rebuild of his Bingo low wing sport aerobatic plane. It lost half the wing when it crashed into a fence post on take off. The wing was sheared off close to the fuselage. Dave wasn't sure he could repair it, but this is his favorite plane, so he decided to give it a try. He built a new wing, reusing only the wing tip. Spars were spliced to join the new parts to the wing. Balsa webbing between the upper and lower spars completed the reconstruction. The wing is sanded and ready for recovering. He wanted to show it uncovered to explain the process.  The reborn Bingo will fly again soon.
